Over the last 20 plus years, Fierce Jewels has produced some of the finest jewelry and rhinestone bodywear for entertainers and lovers of rhinestones in the world. Our Designer, John Griffin aka Nova Starr, has a 20-year career in the GLBT entertainment industry. Creating beautiful rhinestone jewelry is a passion that developed in art school and flourished through multiple incarnations and lines. in 2010, John released our signature lines of Fierce Jewels and Fierce Drag Jewels.

Through the years we have had the opportunity to become the Official Jeweler of many of the US’s top LGBT and Ladies pageantry systems. And incredibly featured in multiple Television shows, such as Ru Paul’s Drag Race.

Electroplating is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for a fine finish, and most of all for the safety of our clients. Un-plated jewelry is a health risk and can expose you to metal poisoning or worse.

Meet the Rhode Island Business Behind Fierce “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Crown
John Griffin is the designer behind the glittering rhinestone crown awarded to the winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”. Based in North Scituate, Griffin’s business Fierce Drag Jewels began by creating fine costume jewelry for drag queens, and now designs for burlesque entertainers and others. He sources materials from Rhode Island, which he describes as the center of the costume jewelry world. Griffin plans to expand his Fierce Bride line of affordable tiaras and bridal jewelry this year, inspired by his own wedding and the desire to create perfect custom pieces for brides on a budget.
